Who is Tomato Pincushion?

Megan Thibodeau is an illustrator and quilter from Portland, ME.

Megan received a BFA in Illustration from Massachusetts College of Art and Design where they began exploring how to combine their illustration practice with their life-long passion of quilting and fiber arts. Inspired by traditional quilting motifs, animals, and domestic life, Megan specializes in rich gouache paintings & vivid digital illustrations which they print onto fabric and use the lines of their illustrations as a guide to sew the fabric into a whole-cloth quilt. Megan’s work was featured in the 2025 Society of Illustrators Student Competition.
